What a rush! I had my time in the sun / roller coaster ride experience and I highly recommend it! Hey, I may even do it again
in two years. Several people have already asked me to and I have some experience now. The key will be the political climate.
People who know say the financial low point we are in will last another six years or so but it looks like we will have a better
president than we have had in a long time. The first of course might make people want change while the second just the opposite.
I think we ( myself and my great group of supporters ) did very well. Our campaign spent about $3,000 compared to, best
figures presently, about $75,000 spent by our opponent. For all that money ( some spent on professional campaign help )
Oliver beat us by only 2,200 votes. I was a battle of some blog, mail list and home-grown support vs very large money. If I had it
to do again I would have done a few things differently, but that's experience.
Thank you Thank you to all the wonderful people who supported me in this campaign!!
